Block Pricing in CPQ

The block pricing feature will help you restrict the user’s quantity level. If you want your customers to buy the product with more than 1 quantity, you can utilize the block pricing feature.

Step 1: Go to the product that you want to handle the quantity.

Step 2:  In the related Tab choose Block Prices and click the Edit All button. It will redirect you to another page.

Step 3: Enter the custom quantity level on the price block page. You can create any number record. Here we have created two records.

Record 1:

Price Name – Test Price Block1

Lower Bound – 1

Upper Bound – 6

Price – 100

Record 2:

Price Name – Test Price Block 1

Lower Bound – 1

Upper Bound – 6

Price – 100

Step 4:
Now go to the quote record and click the edit line to add the product where you have created the price blocks.

Step 5: once you have added the product, change the quantity and click the calculate button. If the quantity you entered is eligible, then it will allow you to save the record. Otherwise, it will throw an error.

Step 6: If you try to save the record with the quantity 20, the page will throw an error because the quantity we entered is invalid. It’s not matched with the quantity we have in the price blocks.

Step 7: You can save the record if you give the correct quantity. For instance, in the price block record, we have a lower bound of 1 and an upper bound of 11. If you save the record with quantity 10, it will allow the record to be saved.
