Contracted Pricing on CPQ

This feature enables the automatic generation of contracted prices, either through manual input or based on predefined settings. The application of contracted prices impacts the regular price assigned to a particular product. The contract Price feature can be used in some cases. For instance, If you want to give some special price for a special product, You can utilize this feature.

Step 1: Go to the account record. For instance, go to the GenePoint account record.

Step 2: Go to the related tab and create a new  Contracted Prices record.

Product – Printer Toner Cartridge

Price – 50

Step 3: Once you create the record,. We can test the effect of these changes. Go to the Quote Record(Q-00017). Click the Edit Lines button.

Step 4: Click the add product button and search for the Printer Toner Cartridge product.

Step 5: Select the product. You will notice that the product price has changed to the special price that was given in the account.

You can notice that the original price and the special price are different.

Step 6: If you want to give a discount instead of a direct price, go to the contract price record associated with the account and give the discount. Before you give the discount, don’t forget to remove the price value.

Step 7: Now go to the product configuration page → add the same product again. This time, the product price would be changed with a 5% discount.

Step 8: Previously, we were using a static price value. Now we are handling the product price based on the discount percentage. Also, we can filter the product based on the filter field option on the contract price record.

Step 9: Once you have added the filter, go to the same quote and add the product. But this time, the contract price won’t be applied to the product if the filter condition is not met.
