How to Add a New Field and Map from Contacts to Deals in Zoho CRM

Step 1
- Accessing Zoho CRM’s Customization Options
- Login to your Zoho CRM account.
- Navigate to the “Setup” section by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Adding a New Field in the Contacts Module
- On the “Setup” page, locate the “Customization” section and click on “Modules & Fields.”

- Find and select the “Contacts” module from the list of modules displayed.

- Click on the “Fields” tab to view the existing fields in the Contacts module.

- Click on the “New Field” button to create a new custom field.

- Here I am creating a Picklist Field and naming it as a Colour.

- Then I am filling the picklist fields.

Step 3: Creating Fields in Deals
- Return to the “Modules & Fields” page and select the “Deals” module this time.

- Access the “Fields” tab to view the existing fields in the Deals module.

- Click the “New Field” button to create a new custom field.

- Here also do the same step creating a Picklist Field and naming it as a Colour.

- Configure any additional properties or settings as required.
- Save the new field.
Step 4: Writing Function to Integrate Contact Field Colour And Deals Field Colour
- Return to Setup And go to Developer space > Functions

- And click new Function fill in the field to create the function

- Then create a function and give save and execute

Step 5: Connecting the Function with Respective Fields
- Go to Setup Automation > Workflow Rules.

- Click Create Rule and fill in the given fields to create.

- Create rules and add a function here
