Salesforce Scheduler- Health Cloud

Salesforce Scheduler gives you the tools you need to simplify appointment scheduling in Salesforce. Make it easy for customers to schedule in-person and virtual meetings to address their needs, making every interaction an experience.

Using Salesforce Scheduler as the scheduling system for booking and managing appointments requires configuring operating hours, territories, facilities, and resources of the health care providers you’ll be scheduling appointments

The following steps are used for creating Scheduler Setup assistant:

Step 1: Go to App Launcher and select “Scheduler setup Assistant”

Step 2: Select Get Started with Salesforce Scheduler

  • Set permissions:

Set up permissions for a service resource, such as a personal banker, to make them available for service appointment scheduling.

Click the setup permission box and update all required fields.

  • Create operating hours and time slots for a service appointment location

               Use the Operating Hours component to create, modify, and view operating hours and Time slots.

               Click the setup operating hours box and update all required fields.

The Operating hours have been created successfully.

  • Create a service appointment location

               Create a service appointment location, such as the Main Street Branch, as a service territory  where your resources meet with customers.

                Click the  Setup a Service Territory button and update all required fields.

The Service Territory has been created successfully.

Step 3: Set Up a Service Resource and Assign a Skill

  • Create a resource

Create a service resource and add a name (Ryan Dobson) and title (personal banker).

Click  Create a Resource  button and update all required fields for creating a resource.

The Resource has been created successfully.

  • Assign a service resource to a location

              Assign our service resource (Ryan Dobson) to a service territory (Main Street Branch).

Click Assign a location button and update all required fields

  • Create a skill for a service resource

               Create a skill (banking) for our service resource.

               We need to create a Skill type for creating a New Skill.

               Go to set up and select skill setting→skill type

  • Assign a skill to a service resource

              Assign a skill (banking) to our service resource Ryan Dobson. When you assign skills to  service resources or mark them as required on work types, you can add details like skill level And duration.

Click  Assign Skill button and update all required fields.

Step 3: Set Up a Service Appointment Topic and Template

  • Create a service appointment topic

Work Type Groups are service appointment topics, such as “home loans” or “investment”.

Click the Create a Topic button and update all required fields.

  • Create operating hours and time slots for a service appointment template

Use the Operating Hours component to create, modify, and view operating hours and time slots.

Click the Setup operating Hours button and update all required fields.

  • Create a service appointment template

               Work Types are templates that include the service appointment topic (credit cards) and Branch location (Main Street Branch), making it easier to standardize service appointment scheduling.

Click the Create Template button.

  • Create service appointment types

               Choose the default service appointment type picklist values, such as phone or video, for the  service appointment template (work type)

Click the Create service appointment types button

  • Add a skill to a template

                             Add a skill to a template (work type) to ensure that a service appointment is assigned to a service resource with the right skills.                              

Click  Add a Skill button

  • Assign a topic to a template

          Assign a topic (work type groups) to a template (work type).

          Click, Assign a Topic button

  • Assign a template to a location

               Assign a template (work type) to a location.

               Click, Assign a Template button

Step 4: Get Ready to Schedule a Service Appointment

  • Add a Lightning Action to a page layout
    Add a Schedule Service Appointment Lightning action to an account page layout.

               Click, Add a lightning Action button

  • Schedule a customer service appointment

               Schedule a customer service appointment with our service resource Ryan Dobson.
